We won’t have to wait until 2015 to watch Lifetime’s Aaliyah biopic, Aaliyah: R&B Princess.
With interest at an all-time high, the network fast tracked the controversial TV movie and now it’s premiering November 15!
Starring actress Alexandra Shipp as the fallen angel, the biopic will chronicle Aaliyah’s rise to superstardom starting from her life as a little girl with a big dream of being a singer. The movie will also feature the moment she got her record deal and also dig way deep into her controversial relationship with R. Kelly. Meeting and working with Missy Elliott and Timbaland will also be highlighted, and even her romantic relationship with former hip hop mogul Dame Dash. Pretty much everything except the plane crash that caused her untimely death will be included.
Lifetime has dropped a brief teaser to get her fans excited.
