CLEVELAND – A 24-year-old male was walking with his bicycle in the area of 1020 Huron Road (downtown) when he was beaten, stabbed and robbed of his bicycle, Cleveland police said.

The incident happened at around 3 a.m. Tuesday. The man said that he was approached by an unknown man who asked him for money. The victim said no and the man stabbed the victim in the stomach and took his wallet, cell phone and bike.

Police found the bicycle at 2100 Superior Avenue a short time later.

EMS responded and the male was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center in serious condition. Cleveland Police are investigating the incident.
