Shanice Dunning is an award-winning journalist from Cleveland, Ohio. She currently works as a Reporter/Multimedia Journalist at 19 Action News. Shanice earned her undergraduate degree at Ohio University in public relations and her Master’s in broadcast journalism at Kent State University.
Her tenacious and energetic reporting style has grabbed the attention of several media outlets over the years. Her work has been featured on Bill Moyers.com, the Huffington Post, and TVNewscheck.com.
In 2012 Shanice received the Robert G. McGruder award for excellence in feature reporting, and the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame named her “Student of the Year” for her achievements in journalism.
But, Shanice’s skills are not limited to reporting in front of the camera. In 2013 she produced a documentary called, “The Undoubted.” The film, which explored the decline of young people attending church, was a project Shanice shot, edited, and wrote independently.
