Kimberly “Paigion” Walker is the night jock for WENZ-FM Z107.9 in Cleveland, Ohio and the midday personality on 101.1 The WIZ for the Radio One Cincinnati. Paigion is known for her spirit and drive, originating from the “Motor City” also known as Detroit, Michigan. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Studies. Paigion started her career at the age of 15 as a high school reporter for Detroit’s heritage station WJLB. From day one Paigion knew she found her calling. While studying at the University, she landed herself an internship at Radio One Detroit. Months after graduating, she was signed on as the local producer of “The Tom Joyner Morning Show”. Throughout her career, she was also the local producer for radio programs such as, “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show,” as well as swing producer for the Award winning urban talk shows “Inside Detroit” and “Your Voice with Angelo Henderson” on AM 1200 WCHB. In less than a year of working on various shows, she claimed her spot as the midday host on Hot107.5FM.
In 2011, Paigion began her television career as a new host correspondent for BET which then turned into her hosting BET’s signature series “106 & PARK,” after a grueling process where her bright aura and captivating smile changed television as we knew it. During her tenure on 106 & Park, Paigion interviewed some of the most notable names in entertainment such as Denzel Washington, Queen Latifah, Rihanna, Nikki Minaj, and the list goes on. Even with a demanding schedule as a television personality and brand ambassador and spokes-model for several up and coming brands, Paigion makes it a priority to serve the community by mentoring youth within her Dear Me Foundation.
With the closure of her run on 106th and Park, Paigion has most recently re-claimed her spot in radio on Atlanta’s Hip Hop Station, Hot 107.9FM, quickly becoming a fan favorite. In 2014, she joined the Radio One family holding full time positions in both the Cleveland and Cincinnati markets. Paigion is also pursuing her television and film career while continuing to become a prominent role model for young girls and teens across the country.
