CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – After 11 long weeks the Browns get pro-bowl wide receiver Josh Gordon back. He led the league last year in receiving yards with 1,646. The Browns are coming off a home loss to the Houston Texans led by first time starter Ryan Mallett, and the Falcons are coming off a win over the Carolina Panthers.

It was reported that Gordon will only play 20-30 snaps this week. Well that went out the window quick, in the first half he played 26 of 37 snaps.

Gordon got his first catch of the season on the Browns second drive, it went for 12-yards.

After a courteous spot by the referee on a Devonta Freeman first down, the Falcons would cash in on a Matt Ryan to Julio Jones touchdown for 24-yards to take an early 7-0 lead.

The Browns would answer back with a 12-yard Isaiah Crowell touchdown that was set up on a couple passes to Josh Gordon that led them into the redzone. The first quarter would end in a 7-7 tie.

The Browns defense would start the second quarter strong with a Joe Haden interception, it is the second interception on the season for Haden. That would lead to a 33-yard field goal by Billy Cundiff. Browns take a 10-7 lead.

Browns defense did not let up though, Paul Kruger would sack Ryan that led to a fumble and Browns would recover the fumble, and just like before it would lead to a Billy Cundiff field goal from 37-yards out. Browns add to their lead 13-7.

The Falcons would answer back however with a Ryan shovel pass to Rodgers with 55 seconds left in the half. Falcons regain lead 14-13.

It almost went from bad to worst for the Browns. Hoyer would drive the Browns into Falcons territory but time would hinder them, Cundiff would attempt a 60-yard field goal but come up short and Devin Hester would take it out of the endzone and almost return it for a touchdown as time expired but was tackled inside Browns territory. The Falcons had a 14-13 lead at the half.

Browns would receive the ball to open the second half. After huge plays by Andrew Hawkins the Browns offense would again stall and have to settle for a 32-yard field goal. Browns retake lead 16-14.

With a couple minutes left in the third quarter, Isaiah Crowell would get his second touchdown on the day, this one from 26-yards out. Browns extend their lead 23-14. The third quarter would end with that score.

Scary scene for the Browns in the fourth quarter when Ryan would throw to Julio Jones in the endzone, Tashaun Gipson would run into Joe Haden to break up a potential touchdown, both players would stay down for a little while. Haden would walk off under his own power, but Gipson reminded down even longer, and eventually get carted off. Gipson would be ruled out of the game.

Steven Jackson would take it in from 1-yard out for the Falcons, they come within 2 points. Browns lead 23-21.

The Browns would move the ball beautifully but with under 5 minutes in the game, Hoyer would throw up a jump ball to Gordon and Gordon did not attempt to go for the ball, Trufant would pick it off. The Falcons however could not do anything with it, Buster Skrine had to what appeared to be an interception, but Julio Jones would break it up, Falcons punt on 4th down to give the Browns the ball with 3:37 left.
