CLEVELAND – Cleveland Police responded to East 92nd Street and Wade Park in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood Friday night for a report of five people shot, including a 9-year-old girl.

Five people, two men and two women, one of whom was 28 weeks pregnant, were killed.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the deceased pregnant victim as Sherita L. Johnson, 41. She was pregnant with a baby boy. Johnson and the baby died. The Medical Examiner has also listed Lemon Bryant, 60 as one of the deceased.

The names of the other deceased shooting victims have not been released.

A 9-year-old girl was also shot. She was transported to Rainbow Children & Babies Hospital. Police said at the press conference that the child has been released.

Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said the shooting was reported at about 7:30 p.m.

Police believe that the 9-year-old went inside the home to get some clothes in the 1400 block of E. 92nd Street in the midst of a shooting. A 60-year-old, a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old were dead inside. The 9-year-old told police the shooter wore a mask and shot at her. Police said she was grazed in the chest.

Then, the shooter went outside, where Johnson was in the car with another child. The person shot Johnson several times, killing her, but the child escaped unharmed.

Police were canvassing the area Friday night, but have not identified a suspect. Officials stressed Saturday during a press conference that there are people who have more information about the shooting who can help the investigation.
