11/26/14 –

Dear Tom,

My name is Vernisha Johnson and I would like to ask for your help to give my brother, Craig Glover a special holiday Christmas Wish.    Craig’s only son, Jarvis, 32, died on October 23, 2014 when he failed to get out of the way of a Norfolk Southern freight train while walking on the tracks. There is an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the accident and of course my brother is devastated over the loss of his only son.

It is my Christmas Wish to uplift and to brighten my brother’s Christmas by sending Craig from Jacksonville, Florida where he presently resides, to his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina to spend the week of Christmas with his three daughters, their children and his late son Jarvis’s four children.  In total, my brother has nine grandchildren that mean the world to him and I know it will be such a comfort to the whole family to be able to embrace each other, open gifts, remember happy memories of Jarvis and look forward to the future.

In order to make this Christmas Wish happen, my brother will need plane tickets, a hotel stay near his family and car rental for that week.   It also would make it an extra special holiday if you helped him with some spending money to buy each of his grand kids a gift.
