Richanda is a Police Dispatcher with the Cleveland Division of Police for over 20 years. For the past couple years, Richanda has been sharing her knowledge and experience training new hires and assisting the Administrative Office with payroll and timekeeping. Characteristic of our Guardians of the Land, Richanda enjoys helping and servicing others. She gets great pleasure in assisting those with a problem and helping them figure solutions to better their situations. When she’s not working, Ms. Jackson is very community active along with her Church family and also enjoys outdoor activities with her family and friends. Her most memorable experiences were 911 and the Cleveland Blackout, when she and her fellow dispatchers were able to come together to get the job done and make a difference in the community.
Lopez is a 16 year veteran of the Cleveland Division of Police and is now serving as Chief Dispatcher in the Communications Section. It’s difficult for Dalia to isolate her most memorable moment on the job because there have been so many! Most recently, she pinged a cell phone to assist police and medical personnel in locating a 4 year old girl who dialed 9-1-1 for her mother that was having a medical emergency but the child didn’t know her address. Thankfully Dalia’s knowledge and experience paid off. Ms. Lopez is a very family oriented person with 4 young daughters who keep her quite busy when she’s not on the job. They enjoy the outdoors in the summertime – soaking up the sun by swimming and enjoying long walks in the parks. What Dalia enjoys most about being a Dispatcher is her ability to help people in their time of need. Dalia reports that while the career is very rewarding, it’s also very eye opening to what is going on in our community daily.
Lisa followed in her father’s footsteps as he was a Cleveland Police Officer. She herself has been a Dispatcher with The Cleveland Division of Police for over 20 years. Lisa comments that what she enjoys most about her career is the diversity….every day is different. The job is intense but helping people in need – especially children and animals makes for a great day. Carbone’s most memorable moments on the force were the last call for David Fahey, and the importance for people to slow down and provide clear access for our first responders. She was also involved in finding the suspect in the shooting of Officer Derek Owens. In her spare time, Lisa’s world revolves around family. Her daughter just started at Cleveland State and her brother is running for political office, so helping them in their pursuits has been her agenda this summer. Ms. Cabone also enjoys Cav’s games, travelling and is a fan of wine and dogs.
