“Kenyon and Kelly have gone on a few dates, and are taking things slow . . . They want to see how things go before they officially come out to the [public].”

Actor/rapper 50 Cent was here to talk about his role in the new movie Twelve. He plays a ruthless drug dealer who’s been dealing to prep-school kids from New York’s Upper East Side. 50 Cent told us what it was like to play a role that he once played in real life — that of a dealer. Recently, 50 made headlines when an unrecognizable photo of him was released and people were worried that he was ill. He told us today that the reason he lost all that weight (see photo below & The View below)  was for another upcoming film.  Twelve is in theaters now.

50 Cent is serious about his side hustle as an actor.

It was previously reported that Curtis was going to lose 60 pounds for a role in the filmThings Fall Apart about a football player with cancer. Apparently 50 stopped at the 50 pound mark, going from a size 38 waist to size 32 after going on a liquid diet and walking on a treadmill for 3 hours a day.

Dr. Janie Lee, and her collegues used statistical modeling to compare the costs and benefits of mammography alone, MRI alone, and mammography and MRI combined in a hypothetical group of 25-year-old women with BRCA1 mutations, which significantly increase the risk of developing breast cancer.

“For women at the highest risk of breast cancer, using both breast MRI and mammography together for screening will likely reduce their chances of dying from breast cancer and help them live longer, healthier lives,” Lee said in the news release.

1. Develop a Signature Piece. This is the piece you’re going to be known for—sort of like your calling card. Value is the key when building a great closet and The Budget Fashionista’s cost per wear formula can help you get the most bang for your buck. The cost per wear is the price of an item/divided by the number of times you think you’ll wear it. So if an item costs $100, and you wear it ten times, the cost per wear is $10. The more you wear an item, the cheaper it becomes. This tip is especially important as it forces you to focus on the utility of an item, ie the usefulness of an item to you, rather than just the price. Paying $5 for something you never where is $5 wasted.

Iman has teamed up with PK Lifestyles to launch a home collection that will be previewed at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center next week. She has been commissioned, along with design consultant Carlos Mota, to decorate the VIP Star lounge for the event.

The salon will be fitted out with Iman fabrics, a few of the model’s personal pieces of furniture, and framed pictures by famed photogs like Bruce Weber.

She told WWD,

“Since I stopped modeling, got married and had a daughter, home has become a passion of mine….The gods of the interior decoration must have been looking down on me, because all of a sudden, here was this great opportunity to create the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge.”

Iman is so pleased with the result that she may even make it her home away from home.

“It’s probably going to be the new place to find me,” she said. “At least until fashion week is up.”

I will admit that when the first incident with the guns happened, I was on the free T.I. kick. I sympathized with him after he explained that he was in a constant state of paranoia after his friend was murdered in front of him. I understood how witnessing something like that could mess with a person’s psyche. Now, I am losing patience with T.I. and am all out of excuses for his behavior.  There is chance that T.I. may have to do more time after this recent incident with the drugs in the car. I am at the point now where aside from missing his music, I could care less if he has to serve any time again. Here is why:

His reformed bad boy act is just that… An act

Since T.I.’s release he has been on a campaign to let everyone know that he is reformed. He has learned his lesson. He has found a new path in life and that his family and career is his focus.  Clearly those were half truths as he still feels the need to engage in some of the same hood a** behavior that could land him in jail once again.

He invited trouble into his life.

I am not going to judge him or his wife for doing drugs. However, if you have to do drugs then do them in your home. Free from anyone spotting you, judging you, or arresting you. He is past the point in his life where he should be riding around smoking weed and popping X in his MAYBACH. Those two things shouldn’t even be in the same sentence.

Superiority Complex

He like many other celebrities think that they are above all other human being and thus above the law. They feel that because they sing, dance, rap, play a sport etc that they should not have to abide by the rules of society. They assume that they should be privileged in that way.

He won’t stay out of trouble for his kids

If he is unwilling to stay out of trouble for himself or his career then the least he could do is consider his family. Consider his kids who were without their father for almost a year. Why put them through that ugly scene again? It is painfully obvious in T.I.’s case that no amount of money, success, and accolades are going to make him mature any time soon. Perhaps the initial jail sentence was a joke to him. An experience that he did not take as seriously as he claimed.

Recently I was listening to my boyfriend and his friends discuss the reasons why some of them prefer White women over Black women. Many of their reasons were purely based on superficial factors, which bothered me. It is one thing to date someone because you like them as a person and could care less about their skin color which is perfectly fine. It is another thing to purposely seek a particular race for frivolous reasoning. I know that this topic has been discussed over and over but I do not think that it has ever been looked at via a more superficial eye. Note this is an assessment that I have had over the years. It seems to be more than preference for some men. It is deeper than just who they are attracted to. For some men, their reasoning is depth-less and completely shallow. Sad but true. Note that this does not apply to all Black men who date White women. ( I can’t emphasize this anymore) For some it is purely about the person and their preferences are color less which is acceptable. Then there are those who have these reasons:

1. Pretty Babies

Some people are under the illusion that mixed babies are prettier than Black babies. So, in order to for them to have an attractive, “good haired” child, they need to pro-create with someone of another race. They may also feel that bi-racial children have better opportunities or are treated better by society as a whole.
There is Nothing like a good haired high yellow baby!

2. Ego Stroke

For some Black men, there is nothing like having a White woman on their arms. It makes them feel warm inside. A White woman on their arms makes them feel as if they have accomplished something in life. It makes them feel special or like a “big man” because a White women wanted them.
It confirms their attractiveness.
Sometimes it also impresses their friends which is an added bonus. Dating an exotic looking women a’ la Kim Kardashian also has similar affects. The media also assists in creating the illusion that White women are the iconic image of beauty. Which further assists in the attraction.

3. Stereotypes

They fall for the stereotype that Black women have nasty dispositions and are always angry so they decide that is brighter on the other side. For some reason, some Black men feel that no other woman in the world has a feisty attitude. Or they may have had experiences dating Black women that were negative in the past and hold on to those experiences and let that be the deciding factor for dating all Black women. Instead of taking it on an individual basis.

4. Self Hate And Other Self Esteem Issues

Some Black men have esteem issues where they subconsciously dislike being Black and therefore purposely seek White women only because on some levels it separates them from their own race.
It helps them deal with their own self hate issues with skin complexion and color.

5. White Women Are Stereotyped To Be More Sexual

Some Black men are under the impression that White women are more sexually adventurous than Black women. They feel that a White women will do things in the bed that most Black women will not. The White woman is the one that will fulfill all of his fantasies without complaint and make it her business to be his little sex freak and keep him happy. While, they assume that a Black woman will be more sexually selfish and unwilling to be as sexually open. Which is far from the truth. Every women has her own individual sexual appetite and which has more to do with her personally than her race.
