Miami Dolphins star receiver was taken to a Miami area hospital Friday Night after suffering a stab wound allegedly inflicted by his wife.  Marshall had successful surgery yesterday and is expected to make a full recovery, however doctors kept him in the ICU to make sure there was no infection in the wound.

Brandon Marshall’s wife Michi Nogami-Marshall, 26, was arrested by the Broward County Sheriff’s department today and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.  Bond was set at $7,500.  ESPN.com received a statement from Marshall’s agents, Kennard McGuire and Harvey Steinberg, this is what they had to say:

“This is a very difficult time for Brandon and family, thankfully he will make a full recovery,” Marshall’s agents, Kennard McGuire and Harvey Steinberg, said in a statement. “We simply ask that his privacy is respected.”

This is the latest incident in a troubled career for Brandon Marshall who was just traded to the Dolphins prior to the 2010 season.  Marshall has been arrested several times for charges ranging from disorderly conduct to alleged domestic abuse.  The Miami Dolphins have had and will have no contact with Marshall as long as the current NFL lockout persists. The NFL prohibits teams to contact players during this time. Here’s hoping that this young man and his wife are able to work out their issues and get to a drama free life.  To read the full article on ESPN.com click here
