Iman has teamed up with PK Lifestyles to launch a home collection that will be previewed at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center next week. She has been commissioned, along with design consultant Carlos Mota, to decorate the VIP Star lounge for the event.
The salon will be fitted out with Iman fabrics, a few of the model’s personal pieces of furniture, and framed pictures by famed photogs like Bruce Weber.
She told WWD,
“Since I stopped modeling, got married and had a daughter, home has become a passion of mine….The gods of the interior decoration must have been looking down on me, because all of a sudden, here was this great opportunity to create the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge.”
Iman is so pleased with the result that she may even make it her home away from home.
“It’s probably going to be the new place to find me,” she said. “At least until fashion week is up.”
