What the hell does Sesame Street know about a black girl’s hair? Apparently alot! lol
Sesame Street recently did an episode on loving one’s hair, particularly black hair. The Sesame Street song “I love My Hair,” was sang by a cute little black girl puppet who sported different hairstyles like a cute curly black afro, cornrows, dreadlocks, and barrettes.
Let’s all give a hand clap to Sesame Street because African-American hair deserves adoration too! The little puppett sings “whether in a clip or a bow…or let it sit in a afro. My hair looks good in a cornrow…I love my hair!”
