Eizabeth Edwards’ funeral will take place at a Raleigh, North Carolina church Saturday. Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards was in his own battle, and after a fight with cancer, Elizabeth Edwards died Tuesday of cancer. She was 61.
According to USAToday.com, the Edwards’ funeral service will be at 1 p.m. ET at Edenton Street United Methodist Church. A private burial will then follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Edwards is expected to be buried next to her son who died in a car accident fourteen years ago.
According to USNews.com, it was shortly after former Sen. John Edwards lost his bid for the White House that Edwards learned she had breast cancer. After undergoing treatment, Edwards learned a few years later that the cancer had spread to her bones.
