Halle Berry Dismisses “Queen of Soul” Bio Pic

Halle Berry was recently named as a contender for playing the lead in the upcoming Aretha Franklin biopic — by the singer herself. But that doesn’t mean Berry is interested. Speaking With E! News on the Golden Globes red carpet, Berry dismissed rumors, citing her inability to sing as too big of an obstacle in undertaking the role.

“If I could carry a tune, I’d consider it,” she says. “Someone should tell Aretha that I can’t do her justice.”
