Did you know it was illegal in Georgia to tattoo anyone under 18? Well I guess this dad didn’t know didn’t care. A Georgia dad who tattooed “DB” for “Daddy’s Boy” on the shoulder of his 3-year-old son has been fined $300 and sentenced to a year’s probation. The state’s Department of Family and Children Services discovered the tattoo during a home visit.
The father told cops he was drunk and didn’t remember tattooing the damn letters. He is no longer allowed to have contact with the toddler. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of tattooing a minor. The district attorney called the case “egregious,” although the judge appeared to have her doubts. “I am trying to figure out why this is illegal,” she said. “Is it illegal to pierce your little girl’s ears?” The state statute created in 1981 does not make it illegal to pierce a child’s ears
