Ne-Yo’s non-romantic partner and baby mama gave birth to their second child on Monday. While has yet to release a statement about the sex and name of the baby, Ne-Yo has revealed in two past interviews that they were expecting a boy.
During an Atlanta event in September, asked about how fatherhood had affected his music, Ne-Yo replied, “I’ve always prided myself on being able to make music that everybody can listen to and that’s not gone change. That’s just reinforced now that I have a little girl and a little boy on the way. Yeah I’m doing the same thing I’ve been doing.”
Later that evening, he told our sister site HipHopWired.com, “No he’s not gonna be a Jr., I wouldn’t even curse him like that. I’m gonna give him his own name, let him make his own way.”
Baby Boy Smith comes into the world just a month shy of his big sister Madilyn‘s first birthday. Congrats to the whole family.
