Kim Kardashian has landed her first major big-screen gig in Tyler Perry’s next movie.
Deadline.com reports that the reality TV star has been cast alongside Jurnee Smollett in The Marriage Counselor. Kim will play Jurnee’s co-worker, Ava.
Jurnee will play the main character, a marriage counselor who is so disinterested in her own union that she has an affair with one of her clients. After Jurnee’s character sees what a mistake she’s made by cheating on her husband, Ava tries to pick up her spirits with a makeover.
The Marriage Counselor will be based on Tyler’s play of the same name, and production for the film starts in Atlanta on Wednesday.
“It’s gonna be such a fun experience!” Kim tweeted excitedly on Saturday, in the midst of celebrating her 31st birthday.
Despite rumors of a rough patch, Kim partied it up this weekend in New York and Las Vegas this weekend with hubby Kris Humphries by her side. According to the New York Daily News, the pair looked pretty happy during her birthday bashes.
One eyewitness said the newlyweds looked “unfazed by the rumors” as they were “sitting next to each other, kissing a lot.”
