SEVEN HILLS, OH (WOIO) – –
The Seven Hills man accused of killing and burying a homeless man in his backyard pleaded guilty to murder Wednesday.
In addition to his plea, Frank Dienes agreed to a sentence of life in prison. He will be eligible for parole in 16 years.
Dienes was charged with aggravated murder, tampering with evidence and gross abuse of a corpse.
Prosecutors say on or about March 13, 2011, he fatally shot 58-year-old Joseph Kopp in the head. His body was found in Dienes’ backyard.
Dienes will be formally sentenced next week.
