CLEVELAND – If 11 is your lucky number, then Friday is your day.

Veteran’s Day this year is Nov. 11, 2011 or 11/11/11.

But if you’re looking to try your luck on the Ohio Lottery’s Pick 4 game, playing 1-1-1-1, your luck has run out. Sales for that number have been halted — in essence, sold out.

Thursday night at the ever-popular lottery sales location Smith and Snow Shell in Brook Park, the word seemed to have gotten out.

Clerk Betty Marquard said when the calendar dials up a special date like 11/11/11, tickets sell out quickly.

“It happens all the time, people like to get it,” Marquard said.

But with this special date, the Pick 4 tickets have been gone for quite a while.

“People have been trying to bet it, one one one one but it’s been sold out. Everyday someone tries to bet it, it’s been sold out,”she said.

The Pick 3 version is not as popular however. The three digit 1-1-1 was still available for both the midday and evening drawings as of Thursday evening
