LOS ANGELES, CA — Grammy-nominated artist Charlie Wilson will return to Kuwait in mid-November to perform for US troops who are returning home from the Iraq war. This will be Wilson’s fourth trip, in the past three years, to perform for American troops in the Middle East.

Considered an R&B Icon, Wilson’s recent sold-out show at the Indigo O2 in London received rave reviews including this quote from Soulmusic.com, “While 2011 is not over yet, I can predict that Charlie Wilson’s dynamic non-stop full-of-energy-and-soul performance at Indigo O2 will go down as the best soul show we’ve had in London this year. It was tremendous.”

“We’re taking Charlie’s full tour to Kuwait to welcome our troops as they return home,” stated Michael Paran, Wilson’s manager and CEO of P Music Group. “We spent time with the troops during our last three visits and see how important it is to let them know that we appreciate their service to our country.”

“I can’t wait to get back and have a real party with our troops,” stated Wilson. “It’s an honor to be a part of the welcome home celebration. We owe them and their families a debt of gratitude for the sacrifices they have made to protect our country.”
