Police found the bodies of Latasha Jackson, her year-old daughter and her estranged boyfriend this morning in a garage in the 7000 block of Union Avenue.
It appears that 35-year-old Thomas Lorde shot Jackson and Chaniya Wynn, then shot himself in the head, Sgt. Sammy Morris said.
Lorde had abducted the 19-year-old mother and child at gunpoint from East 72nd Street and Union about noon Saturday.
They were last seen walking south on East 72nd Street. Jackson was pushing a brown and pink stroller carrying the child.
Lorde, from the Bronx, had a violent history and was a registered sex offender in New York. In 1996, he was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
The bodies were found about 2:50 a.m.
