CLEVELAND – Just another reason to think before you post on Facebook.

Cleveland police responded to a home on E. 101st Street Saturday night for a report of shots fired.

A report said when officers arrived, 40 to 50 teens were seen running from a house. A person at the party told police there was a party in the basement at 720 E. 101st St.

The party-goer told police someone posted on Facebook that a party was taking place at the address, and the next thing he knew, a lot of people showed up that the host didn’t know.

The witness told police a fight broke out in the basement, continued into the garage, and one person punched another person in the face.

According to the report, the male that got punched pulled out a gun and fired two or three shots, causing everyone at the party to run into the streets.

Officers did not find anyone injured at the scene. But officers did find a male who had been shot at the Cleveland Clinic and was transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center. When officers met up with the shooting victim at the hospital, he told officers that he tried to run out of the garage during a fight and got shot.

The 16-year-old victim also told police the suspect was wearing a black coat, jeans and had an afro.

No arrest has been made. Police continue to investigate.
