The NY Post’s gossip column Page Six has another articleabout rebellious Rihanna defying her boss Jay Z’s orders to avoid all contact with her abusive ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.

A source in Rihanna’s camp told Page Six:

“Her management banned her from reuniting with Chris, but she said she’ll do whatever the hell she wants to,” said a source, adding, “Rihanna is rebelling. She says they have been working her too hard and she wants some time to herself. They fear she’ll secretly record an album with Brown, just to defy them.”

One of the saddest things I’ve read all year is Rihanna drawing an analogy between love and swimming with sharks, which she literally did while filming her first movie “Battleship !

Rihanna clearly has no concept of what love is. Love is a series of actions, not a feeling or an emotion.

When you care for someone’s health and well being, you are expressing love for that person. Love does not have to involve sex to be real.

Rihanna is among the millions of confused young people who believe that love has to hurt to be real.

In Rihanna’s opinion, love is risky and fraught with danger. If it isn’t daring or threatening, it isn’t love as far as she’s concerned. How sad!

Rihanna talked to ELLE magazine about the confusion that arises when someone who thinks she’s in love is actually under the influence of Dopamine:

“When you know you like a guy, or when you’ve been in love . . . That’s the same feeling you have swimming with sharks,” “That’s the same feeling you have when doing anything daring, risky, spontaneous, or unpredictable. I think having those butterflies is the closest thing to being in love . . . And when you play it safe, you don’t feel anything at all.

I almost cried when I read that last line. I wish I could hug Rihanna and tell her that men aren’t all like her alcoholic dad, who forced her to sit up all night searching the skies for space ships and aliens.

I wish I could tell her that men aren’t all abusive like her father or Chris Brown — and that love doesn’t hurt. Love heals wounded souls like hers. And she already has healing love all around her. She just doesn’t know where to look.
