Bobbi Kristina has decided to give up her role on Tyler Perry’s TBS dramedy “For Better or Worse.”
A source close to production on the show told RadarOnline.com that Bobbi walked off the set in Atlanta last week. She has only taped a few episodes when she quit “For Better or Worse,” which is set to return in July.
Supposedly, Bobbi left the show because she was still having a hard time dealing with the loss of her mother Whitney Houston. Her role on the show was announced shortly after Whitney passed away.
“She thought she was ready for this, but she wasn’t,” another source said, adding that Bobbi made a hasty and tearful retreat from the show. Apparently, she did it so quickly and quietly, though, that her departure went largely unnoticed at first.
“Bobbi Kristina had a private breakdown and barely anyone saw it,” the source said. “She was crying and said she needed a minute, she needed a break to get herself together. But then she decided she couldn’t handle doing the show right now. She’s still mourning her mom.”
Now that “For Better or Worse” crew knows that she’s gone, though, writers are scrambling for a way to write her off the show in a way that makes sense. After her exit, Bobbi reached out to Tyler to talk about why she left.
“He understands. He’s upset and worried about her,” one insider said. “But now he’s had to do a lot of restructuring work on the show.”
Despite walking away from “For Better or Worse,” Radar Online reports that Bobbi is still filming “The Houston Chronicles” for Lifetime.
