White is a wonderful color yet one that is one of hardest colors to pull-off. For many of us, it is also harder to keep white clothing looking clean and crisp. Here are some white wearing tips that will help you look your best, should you choose to wear it.

If you choose to wear a white blouse, don’t wear a white bra under a white shirt. Always wear a nude-colored bra, if you don’t want it to show.

Should you opt to wear white pants, consider wearing the pants in the size that is larger to your normal size. For example, if you usually wear a nine in pants, consider wearing a ten in white pants. You don’t want your pants to be too tight in light colored fabrics. It’s also a good idea to wear nude colored panties as well.

For a cool twist to your white jacket, consider rolling the jacket to a bracelet sleeve length to prevent smudges at the wrist.

To remove sweat stains from your white garments, add half a cup of baking soda to your wash (start the washer, add detergent, then add baking soda to the pre-wash cycle).

To remove heavy stains from socks: soak overnight in super hot water and dishwasher detergent.

To brighten an entire load of whites: small increments of bleach or vinegar have been known to work as well as 2 tbsp of baking soda to cold water wash.

Choose a shade of white that suits your skin tone. Not everyone can wear bright, crisp white. However, there are shades of white for every skin type. For example, cool skin tones (with blue and pink undertones) work well with classically bright white (because it also has cool undertones) and pair well with silver accessories.

When choosing to wear white, choose quality and durable fabrics. Quality fabrics are less likely to be see-through. You may opt for dresses that even may even be lined. Look for heavier count cottons, linen, and some man-made fabrics for that great white outfit!
