GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio – Garfield Heights schools are on lockdown after someone called in a threat early Thursday morning.
Garfield Heights police said the individual who called the school communicated intent to come to the high school with a gun at 8:30 a.m.
The police and school district said they are continuously investigating the situation and that police has a strong presence on school property Thursday morning.
All students and staff are safe and all schools have been placed in lockdown as a precautionary measure, the school district said on its website.
