Whitney Houston’s Grammy Documentary- “The Grammys Will Go On: A Death in the Family.”

Whitney Houston’s Anniversary announces the release of a documentary based on what happened the night before the Grammys, when the star was found dead.

Just 24-hours before the Grammy Awards went live, news broke that Whitney Houston had died suddenly, shocking the world. The show along with its producers and everybody involved, was faced with the challenge of delicately paying their respects as the music industry gathered to honor each other and mourn the passing of the pop icon.

As the Grammys were just hours away, the show’s producers, hosts and performers were challenged to honor Houston in a professional proper manor doing the star justice, in record time.

This year CBS have created a new documentary showing the alterations made to the show just hours before its broadcast, all being reveled in a new documentary, “The Grammys Will Go On: A Death in the Family.” This year the Grammys are paying tribute and making sure her presence is felt by showing the documentary so close to the award ceremony.

Set to air tonight on the eve of the Grammys (Saturday 9th) on CBS , the one-hour special documentary show how the producers, host and performers scrambled to honor Houston, as best they could.

Jennifer Hudson chokes up practicing “I Will Always Love You” and there are plenty of interviews in the behind the scenes footage. The documentary will apparently unravel the speculation stories and give fans an incite in to the mind of one of the industry’s tragic victims.

Just hours before Davis’ party at the Beverly Hilton, Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room. The scene must have been so strange as VH1 was downstairs waiting to interview her with Brandy for a “Behind the Music” show. Everything must have amplified as news of her death slowly unfolded.

Even months after the troubled singers death, shock was still ringing through the industry. Tribute shows were popping up everywhere such as, “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston,” that aired in November and the Grammys Museum hosted a Houston-focused exhibit.

No one will ever match her voice or even come close to it but, the progeny she inspired is endless. Just listening to the new voices in the Music Industry today, such as Kelly Clarkson, Melanie Fiona and Adele’s powerful unique stunning styles have all been inspired in one way or another by Houston.

She will be forever mourned but, this is showbiz and the Grammys must go on.
