While most other talk shows will be on hiatus this summer, Wendy Williams will still be giving her fans a daily dose of hot topics and celebrity gossip!
Thanks to high ratings, the fourth season of The Wendy Williams Show has been extended by two full months into the summer. According to reports, Debmar-Mercury announced that the daytime talkshow will tape new episodes during June and July because of a 47 percent ratings increase during the month of February.
“Wendy is absolutely thriving,” Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus said. “Expanding the number of original episodes will allow us to continue the program’s incredible momentum well into the summer.”
But the show’s producers are not the only ones excited about the good news. The talk show queen herself said she now wishes to do the show 365 days of the year.
“I have the greatest fans in daytime TV, and I’m so excited to be giving fans more fun throughout the summer,” she said. “If it were up to me, we’d have a show every day, all year long!”
Congrats, Wendy!
