The world renown gospel group, The Pace Sisters, will appear on an episode of OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network’s popular series “Iyanla: Fix My Life,” featuring spiritual life coach Iyanla Vanzant.

The Pace Family comprising of 9 real life sisters, 7 of which are in the group, are considered one of gospel’s stand-out female groups.

On the outside, the group seemingly has it all yet on the inside, the Pace family has struggled with a lifelong battle with weight. The family of a total of 10 siblings have been all challenged with weight loss and at age 54, their only brother, Murphy Pace passed away.

This year they made the decision to get their lives together and reclaim their health. Part of that commitment included seven of nine sisters agreeing to sit down with spiritual life coach Iyanla Vanzant. In a unexpected twist, Melonda, had a minor stroke (which she has 100% recovered from) before she even had the chance to speak with Iyanla. The show taps into why obesity and weight issues seem to be a generational curse for this family.

When asked why they chose to make this change now Lydia explained “Prayer…and getting to the reason behind my actions and no longer masking the real reason.” While Latrice said “self-awareness and an awareness that I hadn’t tapped into the abundant life that has been made available to me.”

In the process of taping the show, the sisters collectively committed to lose weight, adopt a healthier lifestyle and also decided to re-ignite their music career. As part of this “new season” for the group, they recorded a new single, “Just Believe” produced by Teddy Riley.“Just Believe” will be available on iTunes and Amazon.com on May 14. A new album is expected later this year.
