CLEVELAND – Cleveland police are looking for as many as four men they say broke into the home of an elderly couple, left the man beaten and kidnapped the woman.

The home invasion happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday at Victory Blvd. and Wainstead Ave. near W. 130th St. Police said the armed suspects beat the couple, left the man at the home, put the woman in the trunk of the couple’s car and drove off.

Both the car and the woman were later found at the Wolf’s Den at East 83rd St. and Cedar Ave.

Police said the couple’s stolen credit cards are being used, and they said they believe the suspects may be in the area where the car and the woman were found.

The man and woman, both in their late 80s, were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said they have no solid leads, and they aren’t sure why the house or the couple were targeted.
