“The Young & the Restless” actor Greg Rikaart apparently came out last week following the Supreme Court’s overturning of the Defense of Marriage Act.

Rikaart posted a photo of him cuddling with a man who apparently is his boyfriend on Thursday, June 27, just one day after the Supreme Court struck down DOMA as unconstitutional, GayStarNews notes. Although he attended the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center’s An Evening With Women event last month, this appears to be the first time he has addressed his sexuality publicly.

The 36-year-old Brooklyn native later tweeted thanks to all his Twitter followers. On Sunday he retweeted a message about coming out: “On a pride day like no other… I remember the courage of those who came out four, five and six decades ago, when things we so much bleaker.”

Last summer, Rikaart penned a blog for HuffPost Gay Voices about his opposition to Chick-fil-A and the company’s support of anti-gay groups. The post followed a heated Twitter feud between him and fellow soap star Melissa Reeves, who tweeted her support for the fast food chain. Rikaart called Reeves a “bully.”

Not only did he celebrate the DOMA ruling last month, but he also celebrated 10 years on “Young & the Restless,” according to Michael Fairman Soaps. He has played the role of Kevin Fisher since 2003.

Aha…you thought it was the Black guy lol!
