SOLON, Ohio – Solon Police confirm Bernie Kosar was arrested early Sunday morning.
Officers pulled Kosar over on Route 422 east of SOM Center Road for a speeding violation around 2:42 a.m.
They detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his car.
Kosar was placed through a series of sobriety tests and subsequently was arrested and transported back to the Solon Police Department Jail without incident.
Kosar was charged with driving a vehicle under the influence and speed.
The Solon Police Department will not release any video of the stop involving Mr. Kosar until the disposition of the case has been finalized.
Mr. Kosar posted $500.00 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bedford Municipal Court Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 1:30 p.m.
