CLEVELAND – A Cleveland man was struck by shots fired after trying to disperse a crowd at a party early Sunday, police say.

They said officers responded the 15500 block of Judson Boulevard at 12:10 a.m. The initial investigation showed that the 36-year-old victim had hosted a birthday party for his nephew and, while dispersing the crowd, shots were fired.

The victim was shot and taken to Southpointe Hospital then later transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he is being treated for a gunshot wound to the chin.
