CLEVELAND – Looking for a great way to spend the Martin Luther King holiday and not break the bank?

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum has an offer that’s hard to beat. Musical performances, films, classes and more, all tied to music’s roll as a force of change in the battle for equality. The best part is that it’s all free.

Lauren Onkey, VP of Education and Public Programs for the Rock Hall, said ” Music brought black and white people together. You can’t segregate the air waves and young people make sure, pretty quickly, you can’t segregate the dance floor.”

MLK Day is the only day of the year where admission is free and is their biggest attendance day of the year. Live music begins at 10:15 and continues throughout the day.

CLEVELAND – The MLK Holiday Scholarship Committee will host their 14th annual ‘Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday Breakfast Celebration’ on Mon. Jan. 20 at 7:30 a.m. This year’s theme is ‘An Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere.’ The event will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cleveland Downtown, 1111 Lakeside Avenue
