An interview with CNN aired this morning, and Zimmerman dropped a major bombshell in saying he was a “scapegoat” for President Obama and the U.S. Government in the Trayvon Martin shooting case. Further, he says the sensational nature of the case has his life in danger.

“I have a lot of people saying that, you know, they guarantee that they’re going to kill me and I’ll never be a free man,” Zimmerman said to CNN’s Chris Cuomo. Zimmerman didn’t seem to shy away from his original stance that he acted within the law by claiming self-defense when he shot the 17-year-old Martin. Zimmerman also said that he was “disgusted” by those who made jokes about Martin losing his life, yet lumped those individuals along with others who have threatened him and his family. Cuomo pressed Zimmerman on his feelings of regret regarding the outcome of the case, which Zimmerman smartly dodged.

“Unfortunately, the Department of Justice is conducting a civil rights investigation, so those are the types of questions that, because of the investigation, I have to tread lightly and I can’t answer,” Zimmerman said. He did, however, said to Cuomo he wished he stayed home that day. – See more at: hiphopwired.com
