East Cleveland Concerned Pastors for Progress is sponsoring the Family Festival to emphasize the importance of families spending quality time with one another. Our intent is to celebrate fathers and mothers and encourage them to raise their children with expectation that they can succeed and become all that their gifts and talents will afford them. The event will take place during the week that the African-American community celebrates Juneteenth which was the time that the United States military was sent to plantations to inform slaves that were still being held on plantations after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation that they were freed. With this in mind, we will commemorate the Juneteenth with various activities during the Family Festival.
