*Had an Alabama woman not tried to befriend her niece using a fake Facebook account, she, along with the rest of her family, might be dead now.

Her niece was allegedly on social media, looking for someone to kill her family – including the aunt who tried to anonymously friend her.

Authorities said 19-year-old Marissa Williams asked a person she met on Facebook named Tre “Topdog” Ellis to pretend to kidnap her and then, kill her family.

Even the family dog was not to be spared.

Back to the aunt – she was the one posing as Tre “Topdog” Ellis. She wanted to friend her niece in an attempt to teach her about the dangers of social media.

Talk about getting more than you bargained for!

Though the aunt’s name has not been revealed, her niece had actually been living with her, but the relationship was tense because Williams kept inviting her Facebook friends over to the house, according to WSB-TV.

On the very first day of online interaction, Williams gave “Tre” her digits and address, and invited him over to get drunk and have sex – if he would agree to pay her $50 phone bill, AL.com reports.
