CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
Two local events are scheduled for Thursday to remember Ferguson, Missouri teenager Michael Brown.
Witnesses say the 18-year old was unarmed and his hands were in the air when a police officer shot him to death last Saturday. Police said Brown attacked the officer and tried to take his gun.
The first, planned by the Cleveland Chapter of Stop Mass Incarceration Network, begins at 3:30 p.m. and will be held right across from Tower City.
The second event starts at 6:30 p.m. and is part of the National Moment of Silence.
