Floyd Mayweather, known for his quick hands in the boxing ring and even quicker hands when it comes to assaulting the women in his life, thinks the NFL is being too hard on former Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice, reports Deadspin.
“I think there’s a lot worse things that go on in other people’s households, also,” Mayweather said. “It’s just not caught on video, if that’s safe to say.”
Mayweather, who has plead guilty on numerous domestic violence charges, said that there has never been any proof of his crimes:
“Like I’ve said in the past, no bumps, no bruises, no nothing,” Mayweather said. “With O.J. and Nicole, you seen pictures. With Chris Brown and Rihanna, you seen pictures. With (Chad) Ochocinco and Evelyn, you seen pictures. You guys have yet to see any pictures of a battered woman, a woman who says she was kicked and beaten (by Mayweather). So I just live my life and try to stay positive, and try to become a better person each and every day.”
As previously reported by NewsOne, Rice and his wife Janay Palmer spoke to ESPN about the media circus that has surrounded them since the video of his domestic violence occurrence got leaked. The running back had this to say to ESPN via telephone:
“I have to be strong for my wife. She is so strong. We are in good spirits. We have a lot of people praying for us and we’ll continue to support each other. I have to be there for [Janay] and my family right now and work through this.”
