MC Lyte credits her mom as being one of her biggest fans and supporters. Stating that its her support system that really her grow and still remain to be relevant after so many years in the business.
“Aligning with the right team of folks is of great importance,” confesses Lyte. “Surrounding myself with people who are experts in their given fields. It also takes a dream and vision and lots of discipline. Getting rid of distractions is a must.”
When asked if she ever thought she’d be here nearly thirty years after dropping her first rhyme? She shyly responds, “Nope. I just was in it to express myself and have a good time. But I’m so thankful that the Creator had different plans.”
