Chris Brown (pictured in black and white) is better known for his legal travails than his views on the state of world affairs. That was until Monday, when he raised a question about the spread of the deadly Ebola virus.

“I don’t know … But I think this Ebola epidemic is a form of population control. Shit is getting crazy bruh,” to his 13.7 million followers.

Since it was posted yesterday at 12:02 a.m., the comment has garnered 31,289 retweets and 22,134 favorites.

Some followers agreed with Brown, writing:

“Only logical thing you will ever say.”

Others dismissed the conspiracy theory as an uniformed ranting, writing:

“Lmao. Fast food, liquor and cigarettes kill a million people yearly in America alone…”

About an hour later, Brown was ready to leave the fray, tweeting:

“Let me shut my black *ss up!”

To be sure, the nation is on edge after a nurse became the second case of Ebola diagnosed in the U.S., after treating Thomas Eric Duncan at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday that a misstep allowed the nurse, identified as Nina Pham, to contract the disease.

What do you think? Do you agree with Brown?
