CLEVELAND — Officials are reminding drivers of traffic delays downtown as crowds attend the Cavaliers home opener against the New York Knicks.

Lane Restrictions

Construction on East 9th Street has created certain lane restrictions. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate exits, East 22nd Street (to St. Clair or Lakeside) or Ontario (to Huron to West 9th Street).

Parking Alerts

There will be no parking on East 9th Street; Prospect Avenue from Ontario Street to East 14th Street; Huron Road from Ontario Street to Prospect Avenue. Signs will be posted and meters will be bagged in advance.

Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense and can be picked up at the division’s One Stop Impound Lot located at 3040 Quigley Road. Fines run about $190 and include the $25 ticket for parking illegally. If there are unpaid parking tickets or traffic camera citations attached to the impounded vehicle, the vehicle will not be released until those fines are paid.
