A 13-year-old boy had an emotional reunion with his mom after police in Georgia said he was found hidden in a secret compartment inside his father’s garage.
Clayton County police arrested the boy’s father, Gregory Jean, his girlfriend Samantha Davis and three juveniles after finding the boy on Saturday.
“I just couldn’t believe it,” said Daniel Clay with the Clayton County Police Department. “We found him.”
The boy was found after he sent a text message from a secret smartphone app to his mother, police said.
“We came here to the home and were able to get inside the home, talk to the people inside,” Clayton County Police Sgt. Joanna Southerland told ABC News.
But police left the home empty handed. The boy then sent a second message saying exactly where he was hidden.
