Members of Black sororities around the nation cried out last night during the premiere of VH1’s “Sorority Sisters” reality show.

The newest addition to VH1’s lineup featured 9 women, members of four different Greek-letter organizations, living and socializing in Atlanta. What could have been an uplifting series, showing college graduates working together, participating in community service and showing sisterly love, instead seemed a lot like “Basketball Wives” with cliques based on sorority allegiances.

There was little sisterly love displayed in the premiere episode. Greeks and non-Greeks alike reacted on social media, slamming the show for perpetuating negative stereotypes.

See some comments below and take a look at the show.
