CLEVELAND – A four-year-old child was found wandering the street naked and alone early Saturday morning.
Around 12:30 a.m. Cleveland Police Officers responded to a call in the 400 block of East 148th Street for a child outside alone and without clothing. When the officers arrived on scene they found the child, a four-year-old girl, who was in company with a neighbor who was able to tell them where she lived.
Officers tried to contact the resident at the child’s address and received no response. They then took her to Jane Edna Hunter Center.
Around 3 a.m. the mother returned home and called police stating her child was missing. The mother told police she had left her four-year-old asleep at home while she went to the gas station.
The mother was placed under arrest and later released with no formal charges.
