CLEVELAND – Heinen’s is set to open its first downtown store Wednesday.

The store will be located in “The Rotunda” of the Ameritrust building at the corner of East Ninth Street and Euclid Avenue.

The ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m.

The family-owned grocery store already has 17 locations in the Greater Cleveland area. It was founded in 1929 in Cleveland when Joe Heinen opened a store on Chagrin Boulevard, formerly called Kinsman Road.
