CLEVELAND – Quarterback Brian Hoyer will not be returning to the Cleveland Browns, according to a report.
Hoyer told USA Today on Thursday he and the Browns will part ways.
“It’s good for both sides to get a fresh start and go our separate ways,” Hoyer, told USA Today. “Being from here, I’ll always root for the Browns. I know I’m going to be continuing my football career somewhere.”
The Browns signed quarterback Josh McCown to a three-year deal worth $14 million last week.
Former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel checked into rehab this offseason and Hoyer told USA Today it was a move that takes guts.
