Charmaine is a fascinating person with incredible talents and gifts. She is my colleague and friend but most importantly, she is a loving and caring single mother
I met Charmaine when she was 20 – she was working two jobs in order to care for her baby girl, Cayden. Cayden is now a very mature 6-year-old but like most girls that age, she loves the movie “frozen” – especially princess Anna, Sven the reindeer, and, of course, Olaf.
I am very proud of Charmaine…she just started a new job with the federal governments a legal assistant with the office of medi-care hearings and appeals. They have a 13-year backlog, so you might say it’s a secure job.
She has expressed to me that she wants to invest in her own education, so that by the time she graduates, she will be able to invest in Cayden’s academia as well as be able to provide her with whatever she needs to succeed – so she will be entering law school beginning this fall.
I love her because she believes in being a mother first and providing for her daughter no matter what. She would like to take her daughter on a summer vacation to the magical kingdom in Orlando before school begins for the both of them in the fall.
