It’s common to think that having an orgasm while pregnant is in some way harmful, but this is far from the truth. In fact, having orgasms during pregnancy has been proven to provide healthy benefits for baby and mom. Orgasms can cause light contractions (orgasms cause the muscles in the vagina and pelvis to contract and spasm), so if labor is induced or the contractions become severe it’s best to see a doctor immediately. Don’t be afraid to relax and let your stresses melt away in the height of an orgasm.

Remain in communication
During this time communication during sex is even more important than before. Sexual activity needs to be adjusted as the baby develops and as her hormones bring on new changes. The goal is to always play safe while having sex and to check in with each other to make sure comfort is held as the highest priority. Don’t ignore her when she moves her body away from you, and don’t be afraid to let him know that things are getting uncomfortable. If rough sex is your technique of preference then you will have to hold off on that type of play until the baby is born. Slow, gentle and intimate are the words that should be kept in mind when having pregnancy sex. It’s the most uninhibited sex both partners will experience so make sure to check in while engaged in activity.
