*Apparently officer Eric Casebolt, the policeman who gained notoriety after he was videotaped sitting on top of a 14-year-old black girl, as she was face-down and screaming for her mother, has had a change of heart.

Now, just days after he resigned from his post at the McKinney police department, he has acquired a lawyer, who has no doubt helped him write an apology.

But the apology probably won’t do the former officer much good. Not only are civil rights groups calling for criminal charges for his behavior; the attorney for Dajerria Beckton, the teenage girl he slammed to the ground, says his resignation will not stop a deeper investigation into his excessive, abusive actions at the pool party.

And in what can easily be seen as a bold-faced cry for pity, Casebolts attorney, Jane Bishkin, is now telling us that this trained police officer, had responded to two suicide calls that week, with one of them being fatal and the other involved a teen who was sent to the hospital.
